Rocky, Vodka, & Kobe - by Ryan Nar
Because my life is non-stop a mayhem-filled party with booze, gambling, sex, and drugs, you can imagine I get into lots of interesting arguments. The kind of debates that may seem idiotic to the vast majority of the God-fearing public, but to me they are of life-or-death importance and must come to a definitive conclusion that leaves all parties in peaceful accord. Despite my lofty goals this never occurs; instead, I routinely find myself in situations where knives are drawn, blood is spilt, and friendships are ended. Until the next day. When all is forgiven. For the very last time.

PHOENIX OPEN - REVIEW AND PREDICTIONS - by Mark Huber
In the late 80’s dirt roads surrounded the small party at TPC. Back then you could hear the coyotes yipping and roadrunners skittered across the fairways. The wildlife has changed, the golf has almost become secondary to the party, and the attendance rose drastically. The tournament the Thunderbirds reluctantly took over in 1939 under Bob Goldwater’s tutelage now claims bragging rights as the PGA Tour’s largest party and has contributed $65,000,000 to local charities.

NBA POWER RANKINGS - WEEK 16
Tip-Off:
1. (1) Cleveland Cavaliers (43-14)
- Wow, a team that ripped off 13 straight wins against some impressive competition and then made a trade to indisputably get better is suddenly vulnerable? With Z gone (for 30 days), Jamison coming in, and Mo Williams returning from a shoulder injury, Mike Brown is in experiment mode with his rotations. Once he gets it figured out and Jamison gets settled in, it's going to take a Herculean effort for someone to beat Cleveland in a seven-game series. (AP)

ZOMBIELAND - by Ryan Nar
You can't get ahead in this life, unless you are both a cheat and a killer. - Yojimbo (1961)
I'm not dying yet. I have to kill quite a few men first. - Yojimbo (1961)
This has been a tough year for basketball fans, particularly for followers of the Knicks, and more particularly for those that gamble. This is not because the games have been any more (or less) dreadful than they have been in the previous two, three, or ten seasons, but rather because the prospect of signing a premium free agent looms unspoken over everything that happens this year, like a vulture gliding over the Arizona skies for carrion.
Can we get Bron? Can we get Wade? Does Amare like New York? What about Bosh?

USA VS CANADA - BLACKHAWKS VS BLACKHAWKS - by Vish
However, there was another amazing attribute to this game... the Blackhawk representation. The Canadian side saw assists on all 3 goals by a Blackhawk. Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook each contributed an assist, while Jonathan Toews recorded 2 in an impressive effort. From the American side, Patrick Kane dazzled with some amazing puck handling, although he did not record any points.

The Cavs and Amar'e Stoudemire: Shades Of The Lakers Getting Pau Gasol? By Amar Panchmatia
Reports surfaced on late Saturday night, as most NBA and even sports fans know by now, that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns were advancing very, very far in their talks that could send five-time NBA All-Star Amar'e Stoudemire to the Cavs in return for rising star J.J. Hickson and veteran Zydrunas Ilgauskas. The Cavaliers, as you know, possess the league's best record (43-11) and player (LeBron James), and this would be a classic case of the rich getting richer.

NBA Power Rankings -- Week 15 (Amar Panchmatia flying solo)
1. (1) Cleveland Cavaliers (42-11)
- I feel sorry for anyone who thought that the Cavs were giving a maximum effort on Tuesday night against the Nets. The Cavs did just enough to dispatch the league's worst team for their 12th straight win while making movies in the process. As good as last year's 66-16 Cavs team looks, this year's crew seems like it would run circles around the 2008-09 squad.

Interview Series - Q & A With NBA Hopeful, PG Torey Thomas
Let me preface this post by saying I am a HUGE Scottie Pippen fan. People that know me might even say I am borderline obsessed. It’s so bad that every single email address and username of mine has always had the number 33 in it. It is because of this Pippen fandom that I will randomly search the web for Scottie Pippen updates. I’m always hoping I can find a new picture, article, or video about him, just so I can see what he is up to nowadays. It was while doing one of my usual Pippen searches when I first came across the name Torey Thomas. I first saw the following picture of Pipp...

HERE COME THE HAWKS - by Vish P
Here come the 'Hawks! Playing even stronger this season, your Chicago Blackhawks are on pace to make the playoffs. If you are living in Chicago, then there is no reason why you haven't heard the noise this team is making. A few years back the Hawks were dubbed the Worst NHL franchise by ESPN. Now, they are one of the hottest franchises in the sport, reborn to win.

Interview Series - Q & A With NFL Pro Bowl OT, D'Brickashaw Ferguson
I had the privilege of interviewing Jets OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson over the phone on Tuesday. Here is the transcript from our conversation...
VC: Hey, how are you doing buddy, this is Vik from Docksquad Sports. Thanks a ton for taking time out of your busy schedule to do this interview with us. We really appreciate it. I just have a bunch of questions here, so I'm just going to shoot them out to you.
DF: No problem.
VC: First off, we just wanted to say congratulations on a great season by your squad, the Jets. I know you guys just came up a little bit short in the playoffs, and it was a disappointing end to your season last week, but what did Coach Ryan say to you guys in the locker room afterward?

Northern Trust Open - Review and Predictions - by Ilyas Patel and Mark Huber
Mark's Kaddy Korner Review
L. A. Northern Trust Open – Riviera CC
The strong field reflects the strength of the course. Riviera, one of George Thomas’ greatest creations, is in everyone’s top five courses on the PGA Tour. The sign of a good course, too me, is how well one remembers the holes. If you play a mediocre track many holes go unnoticed, at Riviera you pick a number for player or caddy and they will immediately draw the perfect picture of that hole. Eighteen is, bar none, the best inland finishing hole and the variety of holes challenges every club in the bag while creating decisions which dare the mind.

Tiger's Return: Where Will It Be? - by Mark Huber
Tiger is tucked away in Hattiesburg, MS trying to get his shaft under control. Over the years we’ve watched him trying to control many wayward drives. The flex in your driver shaft often determines how well you control your tee shots. Tiger’s recent flex point control issue has more serious implications on his life, children, and marriage. Who knew two months ago we would be waiting his return while he regained flex point control at Pine Grove Institute instead of a golf testing center in Carlsbad, CA?

NBA POWER RANKINGS - WEEK 14
1. (1) Cleveland Cavaliers (38-11)
- Here's something scary if you're a Cavs hater: these guys have their next six games at home and won't even have to leave The Q until after the All-Star break. Scarier part: that's around the time they'll expect to get Mo Williams back. Scariest part: that will also be after the trade deadline, and based on GM Danny Ferry's activity around the league, you can expect a big name to join the Cavs by then. Sorry. (AP)

For Cleveland Cavaliers, Trade Deadline Is for More Than Just this Year - by Amar Panchmatia
Count me in as one of those who laugh at the notion that LeBron James needs a "bigger market" than Cleveland to accomplish all of his ambitions—both on the court and off it.
But do not count me in as one of those who believes that James' re-signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers is all but a foregone conclusion. That would be just as absurd as suggesting that the size of the city, especially in today's day and age, has anything to do with it.
