True story... I met Ron Artest the summer he got drafted by the Bulls. It was after a GZA concert at the Metro. We were all by the tour bus after the concert trying to get autographs, when Artest, and one of the background singers Drodee came out to the bus to chill. At that time not too many people even knew who Artest was, which was even better because it made it easier for me to twang. I was actually a fan of his since his college days. That St. John's squad was sick, him and Lavor Postell were fun to watch. Anyways, next thing you know, me and my buddies are chilling and drinking with Artest. It was a tight night. I actually ended up seeing Artest again the next week at Dragon Room too. Anyways, there is no point to this story other than to try to look cool. No, but for real, ever since I met him, I've always been a huge fan of his. I know people say he is crazy or weird, but in person this guy is one of the nicest guys out there. Definitely a fan.
Anyways I found this freestyle by him on Ball Don't Lie, so I just wanted to post it. Enjoy...

Heh, I like a few of his rhymes but his flow is brutal. I love how once you get the crazy tag everything you do is amplified. Its like how Iverson was arrested at a bowling alley for something he wasn't involved in, and then when he misses a practice 10 years later people say it's his 'thug' lifestyle. Silly Stern for trying to contain character in the NBA cuz he's scared of being honest.
