We had a mediocre picking games last weekend, but I think we are going to get back on track BIG this weekend!!! I got to run, but here are our picks for the week...
Ip's Pix:
(Last Pix - 4-1)
(Ytd - 27-27-1)
Jets at 49ers- (Jets -4) - The Jets are coming off a disappointing loss to the Broncos in which they looked out of sorts. The weather played a hand in their performance but they underperformed regardless. Look for a focused Mangini to have his group ready out in San Fran. Jets got this one easy. Jets 27-14
Dolphins at Bills (Fins pk) – The AFC East is shaping up to be a great divisional race. The Dolphins are chasing the Jets and need this game to stay pace within the division. The Bills are in a similar place as last year in that they get to play the role of the spoiler down the stretch. The Bills got off to a hot start this year but since Trent Edwards went down with a concussion, he and his team have not been the same. Look for the Dolphins to keep pace in the division and with this game by a touch. Dolphins 17-10
Falcons at Saints (Saints -3) – A clash of NFC South teams……this one is going to be a contrast of styles. ATL has a very solid running game and controls the tempo of the game with their run attack. Matt Ryan uses this to set up his play action and has shown he is a very poised QB. Atlanta is dope but Drew Brees is having a sick year an they and I don't see them losing this game. Brees will guide his team to a win and the cover. Saints 27-20
Pats at Seahawks (Pats 4) – Bellicheck coming off an embarrassing loss=WAXING OF THE SEAHAWKS TAKE THE PATS FOOOOOOOOO
Cowboys at Steelers (Boys +3) – In my opinion the game of the week right here. We get to see if dem "Boyzzzz are for real as they play in a hostile environment in Pittsburgh. If the Cowboys can run the ball even a little bit….they win this game. Dallas can get after the quarterback and the Steelers line is suspect. I think the Boys get it done here…..Cowboys 23-17
(Last week 2-2-1)
(Ytd - 32-24-3)
Falcons at Saints (Saints -3)
I know everyone is on the Falcons this weekend, and I can't blame them. They have been great this year, and have shown the ability to win on the road as well. They have also won me a lot of money this year, and the Falcons are definitely one of the biggest surprises of this NFL season. That being said, I got to ride with the Saints at home this weekend. Teams in the NFC South are 22-2 at home this year, and Brees' numbers at home are amazing. The Saints have been a completely different team at home, as we saw when they played the Packers on Monday night a couple of weeks ago. Reggie Bush should be healthier this weekend too, so look for them to use him a lot more today in the flats and in return duties. With their season on the line this weekend, I see Brees and Co. putting up some big numbers, and in the end, winning this shootout.
Browns at Titans (Titans -14)
I know this number is huge, but I am really confident about this game. The Browns are starting Ken Dorsey, and that is going to mean trouble vs this physical Titans defense. We all saw what the Titans did to the Lions on Thanksgiving right? I look for another dominating effort from them, and this will be a game that plays out exactly like that Lions Titans game on Tgiving. Look for the Titans to smash the Browns in this one. They have definitely given up on the season, and without their 2 Qb's and Winslow, and a lot of other players, this game will be wrapped up by halftime. Romeo should just quit right now, and save himself the embarrassment of playing in today's game. Lastly my friends who are Browns fans usually say they have a chance every weekend, but even they all admit this weekend with Ken Dorsey is going to be a waxing. Give the 14 with confidence!!!
Pats at Shawks (Pats-4)
The line to this game has moved up to 8 now, so I hope you guys got on this earlier in the week. I look for the Pats to win this game by 10+, even if they do let up in the end of the game. But we all know the Hoody monster never lets up. We also know the Hoody monster comes back raw after a losing effort the weekend before. With the Shawks starting Seneca Wallace, this one is going to get ugly early. The Shawks are also one of the worst in the league at defending the pass, so look for Pats QB MC to have a field day in this game. I know the Pats looked bad last weekend vs the Steelers, but the Steelers have THE best defense in football. The Pats were also in that game until close to the end of the third quarter. The Shawks on the other hand, have packed in the season, and their defense is a joke. The Pats face a must win game, after a loss, so I will ride them to the bank in this one!
Skins at Ravens (Ravens -5) - I love the Ravens in this spot. This is a case of two teams headed in completely different directions. I know this is a must win for the Skins, but how are they going to muster pts vs this Ravens defense, on the road? Flacco has been great in his last seven games. The Ravens are 6-1 in that stretch, and he has thrown 11tds and only 2 picks in that stretch. They will pound the ground game, and open up the play action for Flacco later in the game. I look for the Ravens to roll in this game by 10+. This is a huge game for both teams, but the Ravens stifling defense will carry them in this game.
Jets at Niners (Niners +7) - I know everyone and their moms are on the Jets this weekend, and I don't blame them. After last week's embarassing loss, I know they will look to bounce back hard in this game. But I just think the Niners are one of those losing teams that have not given up yet, thanks to Samurai Mike, and I look for them to battle the Jets hard in this game, all game long. The Jets have also struggled whenever they have gone West this year, so I think that might play into this game as well. I think Gore can have a big day here, even though the Jets are solid vs the run. I think it will be a grind it out kind of game, so I will take the pts in this one.
Remember we got some of these picks in early, like the Pats pick. And others we waited for to move, like the Niners pick. We are just posting what we personally each played them at. We also have bought all hooks. Gluck playaz...
