FORTE BREAKS GALE SAYERS RECORD

I just wanted to take a moment to give props to Bears Rookie RB Matt Forte! Lost amongst yesterday's game, was the fact that Forte broke Gale Sayers' rookie yardage record. Forte did what Sayers did in 14 games.

What's great about Forte is the fact that not only is he a great runner and pass catching threat out of the backfield, but he has been a great blocker all year long as well. The kid has truly been an amazing all around back this season, and the best is definitely yet to come Bears fans.

- Forte has 1,476 total yards, eclipsing Sayers' Bears rookie record of 1,374 total yards, which he established in a 14-game schedule in 1965.

- Forte said "That's a blessing and a great accomplishment. I'm glad I had the opportunity to do it."

- Forte is only the seventh rookie with 1,000-plus rushing yards (he has 1,081) and 50-plus receptions (he has 54). He is the first to do so since San Diego's LaDainian Tomlinson in 2001.

Congrats Matt Forte, you are in great company! And thanks for being such a solid football player on and off the field for our Bears. During this roller coaster of a season, you have been our one and only constant. You have been a joy to watch and cheer for! GO BEARS!!!

Forte is a decent RB but come on Rookie of the Year? Quit drinking the Chicago Bears kool-aid. You guys are a bunch of idiots.
