Now let me first start right off by saying I am not a huge Kirk Hinrich fan. I actually was a fan in his first couple of years, but that all changed. His game has just really gone spiraling downward in the past couple of years, and I've become frustrated with him. He got paid, but hasn't produced at all, not even on the defensive side of the ball. That being said, his injury is going to be a loss for this particular Bulls squad.
Hinrich gave the Bulls depth off of the bench, and another ball handler, which we do need when Rose is out of the game. He was also great trade bait for the Bulls, especially for other teams looking desperately for PG's right now.
That's all changed now with Hinrich's thumb injury. Hinrich suffered has suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament, and he had surgery to repair it today. They say it should take somewhere up to 12 weeks to fully heal from this injury, which puts Hinrich on the shelf until maybe the All Star Break.
Hughes is coming back from his shoulder injury soon, so hopefully he can give these hurting Bulls a boost. Let's see how this all pans out. Love him or hate him, Hinrich's injury will definitely be felt by these Bulls. As Rose said...
"We'll not only miss him on the court but as a leader. He has helped me a lot during practice and after practice. He would tell me about plays and how to defend players. For him to go down will take us back. But we can't have a negative attitude."

Let's hope our Bullies can get back on track Thursday vs the struggling Mavs. GO BULLS!!!

At least we have Derrick Rose.
Keeping a positive attitude will help us past this Kirk's injuries. Things will certainly look up soon enough.
