I am still recovering from the Cubs loss this post season, so forgive me if this is a little late. I still need to take a few minutes here to give Geo Soto some props for his regular season this year, so here goes.
Soto was definitely one of the Cubs MVP's this season, and it was great to see him play the way he did all season long. Not only did he hit well at the plate, but he definitely called some great games and handled all of our pitchers really well all year long.
As stated in the Trib...
Geovany Soto became the fifth player in Cubs history to win the National League Rookie of the Year award, getting 31 of 32 first-place votes and easily outdistancing Cincinnati first baseman Joey Votto. Soto hit .285 with 23 home runs and 86 RBIs while becoming the first NL rookie catcher to earn a starting spot in the All-Star Game....
You can read more about it here, but congrats once again to Geo Soto!!! GO CUBS GO!!!

Absolutely awesome year for Geo. It's gonna be a joy watching this guy hopefully for the next decade as a Cub. He totally gets it.
