BLOCKBUSTER NBA TRADE GOES DOWN - AI FOR BILLUPS AND MCDYESS

I'm sure you guys have already heard about this huge trade that is going down, but if you haven't, check out this link. MLive broke the news earlier, but there are a ton of reports out there now that none of these players shot around for their teams today, and the deal is pretty much a done deal.

Reportedly it's going to be AI for Billups and McDyess. That's huge this early in the year!!! Looks like Joe Dumars wasn't messing around when he said some big changes are going to happen for the Pistons huh?

I don't see how this makes the Pistons any better for this year since Billups was the heart and soul of their squad, but I guess something needed to be done because this squad wasn't cutting it. It definitely makes sense for the Pistons from a money perspective. They are freeing up their cap room for the big free agent class of 2010.

On the other hand, I definitely think it's a good move for the Nuggs though. Melo and the Nuggs offense will prosper with Billups playing PG there over God knows who was already running their squad.
