THE DOCK-TOR'S ORDER - WEEK 8

1) Titans - Huge test this week on Monday night in front of a national audience. I think they are for real. I think they will show the rest of America they are real. VY....there is always Minny next year? (SS)

2) Giants - In my opinion, they play in the Game of the Week at Pittsburgh. Eli needs to have a huge week to pull of an upset at Pittsbugh. The reason I have them higher than Pittsburgh is simple, they play in a much tougher division. (SS)

3) Bills – Steady and consistent. Following the lead of QB Trent Edwards, that formula has worked thus far. 3 division games in a row coming up can really solidify the top spot in the division. (RK)

4) Steelers - It's showtime in the Steel city with a big game vs the Giants.. hopefully Santonio doesn't turn into a distraction. Is it me or does Mewelde give this offense a dimension they never had with FWP and it seems to be working out better for them? Just a thought... (CK)

5) Bucs -The Bucs have been one of the most consistent teams all season long. Garcia has stepped right in and produced after Griese went down. This weekend's game is a big test to see if they are ready to become an elite team in the League. (VC)

6) Redskins - They play my beloved Lions in front of 50,000 or so an unlucky Lions fans. The question is not whether Clinton Portis is going to have a good game but how many yards will get? I am hoping for less yards but more Touchdowns since he is on my fantasy team. Ahhh the joys of being a Lions fan. (SS)

7) Panthers - The Panthers are quietly one of the league's best teams, especially at home. If they can slow down the high powered Cards this weekend, look for them to jump into the top five of a bunch of these power rankings lists... (VC)

8) Cards - The bye week served them well, and I believe big Q will be back in the lineup. Looking forward to seeing this hot team continue to surprise, and before you know it, creep into the playoffs if they can pass the test v.s a tough Carolina this weekend. (CK)

9) Packers – The Pack did well to leave the 3-game losing streak in the rear view mirror and return a little Lambeau mystique after a few losses there this season. The bye week is coming at a great time, and AR has been solid enough where good play from the rest of the team will put these guys back in the playoffs. And of course from there, anything can happen. (RK)

10) Eagles - Westbrook looks like he is going to play. I think this team is getting hot at the right time. I expect them to take over the NFC East in the coming weeks. (SS)

11) Pats - Just when you are ready to count them out, they have a statement game like they did against Denver. But it was a costly win as they lost one of their leaders on D in Harrison. (SS)

12) Jags - The Jags won a solid game at Denver a couple of weeks ago. After a bye week, and some time for their injured players to heal, look for them to lay the smackdown on Cleveland this weekend. If they beat the Browns pretty handidly, they are back into the top 10 teams in the League level. (VC)

13) Falcons - They got all of ATL saying "Dey Know, Dey Know" and now everyone is starting to KNOW to take this team seriously. Turner v.s Westbrook this wknd will be a pleasure to watch, but look out for Ryan having another steady game against a quesionable Philly secondary. (CK)

14) Bears - The Bears are a hard team to judge right now. Every week is a roller coaster/ heart attack with these guys. They do have a ton of injuries in the secondary, so this bye week comes in perfect time. If they can take care of the Lions next weekend, that game vs the Titans will be a good indicator to see if this team is for real. (VC)

15) Cowboys - The Boys are really struggling right now. I watched their game vs the Rams, and they were terrible. With all this chaos surrounding them, will they step up to beat the solid Bucs, or will they fail? This sunday will be a big character test for this squad. (VC)

16) Colts – The Colts we all expect to come walking through the door better do just that soon. This week's game against the Titans is a test and a measuring stick all in one. If Peyton was having problems with a decimated Packers defense, the dominant Titans D could pose a huge problem.

17) Chargers - Do the Saints like (L)Tea and crumpets? Expect a low-scoring game with a heavy dose of LT. (SS)

18) Broncos – So THAT is what happens when the Denver offense is "off" for a game. The defense is nowhere near capable enough to keep this team in a game when they can't put up points. Losing Champ for an extending period makes a bad situation worse. (RK)

19) Jets – The Raiders game was supposed to be a "gimmie" game, but it does show the mediocrity of this team as a whole. Favre made them better just by showing up, but that may have been a relative statement. Their division is too close to give up games like this. (RK)

20) Saints - Many of their offensive weapons came back last week but they lost the most dynamic weapon in Reggie Bush for weeks. The Panthers showed the rest of the NFL the blueprint in beating Brees...take away the middle of the field and make him dink and dunk. (SS)

21) Ravens - Impressive D but the offense still is in disarray. Teammates pulling for TSmith to start and pointing out bounties, etc.. it's not gonna make for a pretty season. (CK)

22) Texans – The team is still underachieving, but Andre Johnson allowed himself to reintroduce himself to Matt Schaub and that's a good start. There is no reason the Texans can't win the next few games and get back into the thick of things. (RK)

23) Vikes - Yeah, we were pulling for them, but it was all a fluke in the end. I mean freakin' Frerotte.. seriously?(CK)

24) Browns - Disappointment, embarrassment, season over.. all apart of being a Cleveland fan. Enjoy K2 for one last season Browns fans, oh of course, after he returns from suspension since the Browns are doing so well and didn't need him. (CK)

25) Rams – The Rams would like to officially break up the 2008 season thus far into 0-4, bye week, and rebirth. Granted the Cowboys are struggling, but that was a huge win. Sports are about momentum…let's see how this team rides it. (RK)

26) Dolphins - Important division game against the Bills this week. Do you guys remember the rivalary back in the day? Marino v. Kelly and amazing defenses. Ahh the good ole days. (SS)

27) Raiders - Wowowow who saw this one coming?? Maybe they're on the turnaround??? Not so fast my friends, it's still Jamarcus under center. (CK)

28) 49ers - The Niners who started out nicely this season, are sputtering. Martz and his buddy O'Sully have not produced at all over the past few weekends, and their season is at a crossroads this weekend vs the SHawks. If they can get a win, they are back in the mix of things. If they lose, their season is over... (VC)

29) Seahawks – Not much is looking up for this team right now. Holmgren might be one of the best lame duck coaches in awhile. Injuries keep plaguing the squad and there is enough tough games (on paper) left to declare this season next to dead. (RK)

30) Chiefs - The Chiefs don't have LJ, and are starting Thigpen at QB. Oh how the season can go so wrong, so quickly. With this season pretty much over, look for them to play their younger players to build for the future. (VC)

31) Bengals - Oh boy. Hmm absorb the last few glimpses you get of Marvin this season. (CK)

32) Lions - I still think this team needs to Fire Marinelli because a good coach would not allow his team to get behind 3 or 4 touchdowns consitently to start a game. (SS)
