UPDATE - McGowan out for the season

This just in, Brandon McGowan's season is over. McGowan is going to under go season ending ankle surgery as reported by Bradd Biggs at the Sun-Times. I also just heard this news on ESPN Radio, so it is confirmed.

Although McGowan got demoted from starting Safety this season, he still provided solid depth off the bench to our Secondary, played Special Teams, and was a Nickel Back. Now if anything happens to Mike Brown or Kevin Payne, the Bears could be in some serious trouble. If that becomes the case, look for the Bears to call upon Rookie Craig Steltz for some help or for them to go looking elsewhere for some help. I will be fine with anyone outside the organiztion, as long as his name is not Adam Archuleta.
