BIG Z THROWS A NO NO!!!

I don't normally do Cubs posts in fear of jinxing them, but I had to tonight! I just wanted to take a quick second to give some props to Z and the Cubs for their performance tonight! Congrats to Big Z for throwing a no hitter baby! It is the first Chicago Cubs no-hitter in 36 years, since Milt Pappas did it in 1972. Z is the 17th Cub to do so in Cubs History.

After all of us held our breath about Z's injury concerns recently, he came back better than ever tonight to throw a no no and to prove to all of us Cubs fans that him and the Cubs are BACK!!! Z finished the night with 10 k's and showed no ill effects of his injury at all. It was definitely great to see and relieving for us fans, and for the Organization as a whole.

Milwaukee is Chicago Light, and it showed big time tonight in the crowd. The crowd was all Cubs in this one, and that definitely kept Z rolling. Great jobs by the fans for going out there and representing for our Cubbies. We are now 7.5 up on the Brewers after they got swept by the Phillies this past weekend. The division is all but locked up, so hopefully we can head into the playoffs on a roll! GO CUBS GO!!!

Here is Z's reaction after the game...(it comes after the commercial, so don't close it)

I've been in the stands for an opposing pitcher's no-hitter before, and I can tell you, once you get to the 8th inning, you start cheering for history instead of the home team. Congrats to Zambrano.
