UPDATE - CHRIS WILLIAMS HAS SURGERY

For the past two weeks, this is all we have heard from the Bears, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CHRIS WILLIAMS! Well thanks poohs, I guess that is not the case now, is it?

Now are you guys worried yet? In a matter totally unrelated to the reason 1st Round Draft Pick Chris Williams is sitting out(back spasms), he had to have overnight surgery to repair a herniated disc in his lower back. WTF?!?!?!?!?

They say it is a very minor surgery, but a surgery is still a surgery, meaning God knows how long this will knock Chris Williams out for. For all we know, this could mean the season for Williams. Now we just have to pray that this is a short term, minor injury. The craziest thing is, this injury is not even the reason he has been missing practice! Now he needs to heal from surgery and from back spasms, or whatever is causing those back spasms, at the same time.

Everyone knows it is imperative for a rookie OLineman to get into the game and get used to the speed of the NFL. He definitely won't be able to do that from the sidelines, that is for sure. This pretty much knocks him out of starting in the first game of the season vs the Colts as well. On the bright side, in camp and in this preseason game so far, Williams' backup John St. Clair has played well, but let's see how he does vs real pass rushers.

Anyways, you can read more about this surgery here, at Chisports.com. This is definitely terrible news for the Bears, who were banking on CWilliams starting at Left Tackle this year. They still say he will become a starter, but now this surgery gives us no time frame. I know this is nothing serious, but it is still frustrating and scary at the same time. Let's hope everything works out.

Take care playaz, and Go Bears Go!!!
