I know this is a little late, but I still wanted to post the recap. Team USA had their first test of the Olympics, and they passed with flying colors. Our squad easily took care of Greece in this one, defeating them 92-69. While watching, you could definitely tell they had revenge on their minds during the entire game, as they did not let up defensively, even towards the end of the game.
Team USA's team defense was amazing, and their intensity was definitely at another level throughout the game. Now they will need to gamble less vs a better team in Spain, but their intensity was promising, and they will need to play even harder in their upcoming matches.
DWade was just causing havoc all over the place, finishing with 6. You can say that DWade was definitely the MVP in this one. Lebron, Kobe, Bosh, and Melo all chipped in as well, to provide the offensive and defensive punches that Team USA needed to win. The sickest play of the game was this oop from DWade, who was falling out of bounds, to Kobe, who flushed it down with emphasis. Check it out below here...
Anyways, their next game will definitely be their toughest of the tournament. They play a stacked Spain squad, who has circled this match on their calendars for a long time. Team USA should be up to the challenge, so let's see how it plays out. This game will definitely tell us a lot about both of these teams going forward, so I can't wait to watch it. I'm predicting it's going to be a little too close for comfort, but in the end Team USA will pull it out. I'm actually bout to hit the sack so I can wake up and watch this one live.
