Unless you're living under a rock, or in a post-Olympic USA! USA! chanting coma, you know that this is a very big week for our country. With all due respect to Kobe and his Redeem Team brethren, this week belongs to Senator Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. This is a monumental moment as it will be the first time that an African American male is given a party's nomination for president. These conventions have been known to attract random celebrities in the past, and this week brought about the highly opinionated, never shy, original Dream Teamer and Round Mound of Rebound himself, Charles Barkley aka CHUCK. Not having him around with Inside the NBA, which is on summer hiatus, I certainly looked forward to hear what Sir Charles had to say. And like usual, he didn't disappoint!!
Below Chuck sits down with CNN for a candid conversation about the DNC and Obama. Though ridiculous at times, he speaks his mind and I'm sure echoes the sentiments of many of us with his views on Barack and politics. I'd surely like to see him in some sort of political office sometime soon, heck if Jesse Venture could do it, anybody can; but in the meantime, we'll have to do with appearances like this. Enjoy!
