BEARS NAME ORTON AS QB

Just in case you haven't heard yet, the Bears declared Orton the winner of the QB contest they were so happily holding for the past few months. I personally am just glad this dog and pony show is over, and they picked someone already. It's definitely better for the team, and allows everyone to move on now with the season fast approaching.

I actually had a feeling they would be choosing Orton this year, and they should of just declared this from the get go because we all know they didn't decide this just after that Seattle showing by Wrex. One thing going for Orton is that this team is definitely built like the team they had in Orton's rookie season where they had a successful year.

Orton will be looked upon to just "manage" the game by dinking and ducking everything he throws, and by minimizing his mistakes. Hence cutting out all the fumbling and bumbling that Wrex does.

I don't necessarily agree with the decision because I just don't feel like Orton can extend the field with the deep ball. This will allow teams to just bury the run, but let's see how it goes because our other options aren't any better unfortunately. If Orton does a good job of limiting turnovers and moving the chains, I really think the Bears have a shot at winning the division. That is if the offensive line holds for the poor guy. Heck we might even see Wrex and Caleb get some starts this year if we don't improve our line. But one thing is true, every other team in the division has tons of question marks in their own right, so winning the division isn't an impossible thing to do. If our Special Teams and Defense play the way they are capable of, anything is possible. Let's see how this move pans out. If it's a bust like many of Angelo's first round picks, you better believe that Lovie, Ron Turner, and Angelo's jobs will be on the line for this and many other poor decisions they have made.

Let's go BEARS!!!
