ELTON BRAND PULLS A BOOZER

I guess you can take my Elton Brand is staying put post from last week, and throw it right in the trash. Elton Brand basically took the money and ran today, essentially pulling a Boozer and abandoning Clipper Nation!!!

Now everyone has their own reason for doing things, and I am sure Brand has his for this move, but one thing is for certain, it looks this move will definitely taint his image for a long time. Right now every single person in Clipper nation is cursing Brand's name, and everyone in the media is tearing Brand to shreds.

Some conspiracy theorists are blaming Elton Brand's agent for this move. Here is a great article about that topic. That is crazy, if Faulk really has that much power, if that is really the case here.

I personally think it is a bad move for Brand on a higher level, but a great move for Philly. The Sixers are definitely going to be dangerous next year, and it seems like the balance of power is slowly shifting to the East now.

One thing still boggles my mind, and that is why the Bulls and Cavs can never get any deals done to get these big named players onto their squads. This is just a general thought, but the Bulls are never able to ever make a splash with trades, or with free agent signings. It just does not seem to be in Paxson's blood. I really think a sign and trade wit some kind of combination of Hinrich/Tyrus/Noch or Gooden would have worked, but I'm just a small time blogger, what would I know anyways right?

Anyways, Brand really did screw the Clippers here though, if he had let his intentions about leaving been known from the beginning, I am sure the Clippers could have at least gotten some value in a sign and trade deal with a ton of squads out there.
