BRAND LIKELY TO STAY PUT

Sorry Bulls fans, all of us who believed Elton Brand might somehow end up in Chicago because he opted out of his contract today, will need to give up our dream, already!!!

Now there was some chatter that Elton Brand might be coming back to the Bulls to revive the franchise where he first started his career. He even said "I owe the city some wins". That appearance on Waddle and Silvi on ESPN Radio last week got all of us Bulls fans excited. Everyone started coming up with sign and trade scenarios on how we could even make it work, and everyone started busting out their old Elton Brand jerseys. Yes that Elton Brand jersey that is sitting in a box in your room, somewhere between your old Basketball gear you used to fit into before you got fat, and your Pootie Tang and Rush Hour two VHS cassettes. I was even able to dig mine up and was about to start rocking it, until this happened...

Baron Davis has verbally agreed to a deal with the Clippers. Now you may ask how does this affect the Bullies? Well Bulls fans, this signing most probably means that Elton Brand will be staying put as well.

Brand has already said he wants to play for an immediate contender, and now the Clippers will put out a starting five of BDiddy, EGeezy the Rook, Al Thorton who made great strides last year, Elton Brand at a 100 percent, and Chris the Rebounding Machine Kaman.

That definitely looks like a sweet starting five if everyone can stay healthy, and if the Clippers get a bench and some sweet role players, can they be this year's Boston???

Only time will tell, but for now, it looks like us Bulls fans will have to put away our old school Elton Brand jerseys...

Who wouldve thought that the most devastating post MJ personnel mistake was losing two Dukies in Jay Williams and E.B. Brand, Miller, Artest, J-Will...damn damn damn!
