BEARS SIGN RB KEVIN JONES

Today the Bears made a solid off season move in acquiring former Lions RB Kevin Jones to sure up their backfield. I'm really happy the Bears finally made a move, especially this one. For the Bears this was a great deal because they will only be paying Jones $605,000, for one season. This signing is definitely a risk worth taking. Now we know that in case our Rookie RB Forte has some problems adjusting to the NFL game this season, we can plug in Kevin Jones right into the starters spot and know he will produce. Also I don't know about you guys, but a Forte/ Jones backfield feels a lot more comfortable than a Forte, Apete2, Wolfe backfield. You can read more about the signing here on Chicagosports.com. Also, here is a great article about Jones by the Sun Times' Brad Biggs that goes more into depth about the signing, and about Jones' health.

Most of us probably remember Jones from his rookie year, when he produced a 1000 yard season. Since then, Jones has been plagued with ACL injuries, but Jones has been working hard and is finally ready for yet another come back. After trying out for a few teams this past month, Jones had narrowed his choices down to the Steelers and Bears, and ultimately his chance to get playing time prevailed, as he chose to sign with the Bears.

And as you can tell from these videos, Kevin Jones has been working his as$ off this off season, trying to come back. Jones definitely looks like he will be ready to go by the start of the season, so watch out, especially you Lions fans!!!
