7 CUBS Make the NL All Star Team

In case you missed this headlines yesterday, 7 Cubs made the NL All Star Team!!! I know this is probably OLD NEWS to some, but I was out of town this past weekend, so give me a pass here.

The Cubs and Red Sox are both sending 7 players each to the All Star games, both which are record highs. This game might definitely be important for both teams in the future, especially because the winner of the game will get home field advantage in the World Series. That will only be important of course only IF either team makes the Series.

Now I have not been posting much about that much about the Cubs this year, in fear of jinxing them, but today I had to give our players some props for making the All Star Team. The Cubs have battled hard through injuries this season, and they are still on top of the NL Central, so for that, they definitely need to get some credit!

The Cubs that are headed to NY are Catcher Geovany Soto, OF'S Fukudome and Soriano, 3rd Basemen ARAM, Pitchers Ryan Dempster and Big Z, and Closer Kerry Wood. They will be accompanied by manager Lou Piniella at the game. Hopefully they can get the NL a victory, and get our team home field advantage in the big series. GO CUBS GO, and congrats again to our All Star Chicago Cubbies!!!

P.S. Even though I hate the White Sox, they are definitely a solid squad. I really think they deserve more than 2 players on that AL All Star Roster. JDye definitely needs to be on that squad as well as 1-2 of their pitchers. Let's see what happens.
