The Bulls finally stopped the Jim Boylan experiment today, and all I can say is Thank God! The mumbling stumbling interim Head Coach was finally relieved of his duties this morning by John Paxson. To me, any Coach who gets punked by a bench player like Aron Gray during a game, needs to go, plain and simple. You think Aron freaking Gray punks a real Head Coach in this League? He'd get his as$ shipped to the D League quicker than Fat Sweetney could run to a buffet if he tried that with someone like Phil or Pop, or any real Coach.
I'm personally hoping the Bulls bring in a big named Head Coach who has a lot of prior experience in the League. This will prove to us fans that Pax and the team wants to win right away, instead of rebuilding again. Let's see what happens, we will keep you posted in regards to the Coaching situation.
The Bulls also finished with the 9th worst record, so they will have less than a 2 percent chance to land the 1st pick in the upcoming draft. Everyone start praying so the Bulls can scoop the 1st or 2nd draft pick in the draft, because otherwise it is going to be a long year.
Lastly, here is the official letter I got from the Bulls today for being a Bulls ticket holder this season and talking about the firing of Boylan. You have to love the final line, which pretty much says thanks Bulls fans for buying season tix this year and sitting through our shit*ty season, we will give you a whole whopping 30 percent off your next purchase at the online Bulls store! Thanks guys, thanks for the generosity!
| Boylan relieved of coaching duties Chicago Bulls Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations John Paxson issued the following statement regarding the team's decision to relieve Interim Head Coach Jim Boylan today: "Letting a coach go is never easy. Jim was put in a difficult position on Dec. 27, without the luxury of having a training camp and with some of the issues that arose during his time as head coach. "I think during the time he coached this year, Jim showed he is very capable in that role and I hope he gets that opportunity again in the future. He certainly has the tools it takes to succeed at this level. I want to thank Jim for accepting the challenge during a difficult year and I wish him all the best." Boylan, 52, took over the head coaching duties on an interim basis on Dec. 27, 2007, and directed the Bulls to a 24-32 (.429) record in his 56 games at the helm. He spent four seasons with the franchise after being hired as an Assistant Coach on May 19, 2004. For the full release, visit Bulls.com now. |
