IN AROD THEY TRUST?

This breaking news just in, AROD is close to re-signing with the Yankees! Check out this post by a pretty solid Yanks beat writer if you get a chance. It talks a little bit more about what went down today in a meeting between Arod and the Yanks.

Note that Arod dealt directly with the Yanks today, without his agent Scott Boras present. That is definitely rowdy.

Anyways, if you're to lazy to read that link above, this is all you need to know.

Alex Rodriguez went to the Yankees directly and apparently has all but finalized a 10-year, $275 million deal.

Everything that I have heard or read is also pointing towards him re-signing, and the ball park of the deal goes from $220-275 mills for 10 years. I am sure we will find out more in the next couple days, but I just wanted to post this for all my Cubs fans out there. Many of us thought that we might have a chance to land AROD next year, but that dream might be over. Let's see what happens...

I, for one, say Thank God ARod is going back to the Yankees! Seeing as my second favorite team in baseball has always been whoever happens to be playing against them that particular day.

The idea of Cashman saying that he wouldn't negotiate with ARod if he tasted the market and actually following through with it made me have to wonder if I could actually respect his ballclub.

Fortunately, the Yankees were the Yankees and did what the Yankees do so I can go on hating them as always.

Finally, as a lifelong Cubs fan, we don't need that cancer in the Clubhouse!
