UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS

This past March, Levi Jones(offensive tackle for the Bengals) claimed that he was jumped by Joey Porter(LB for the Dolphins) and some of his boys at the Palms hotel in Las Vegas while he was gambling. Jones was furious over what had happened, and had called Porter a coward for his actions. I know this story is kind of old, and dead, but I think that was because no one could actually get this fight on tape. Well, that was until now. Last week Jay Glazer of Foxsports actually dug up some footage of the fight from the Palms security camera, and it is crazy. As you can see from the video, Jones has all the reason in the world to be pissed off at Porter. Jones got jumped by Porter and three of his boys at the blackjack table, and was sucker punched numerous times. Now Jones is a big dude at 6-5, 307, but he was no match for Porter and his boys, who straight stomped on Jones in the footage. If you ask me, that was pretty weak of Porter, who I once respected as a player before this. I knew these two had a ton of on the field beef, but this is pretty ridiculous. We'll see what happens with this now, but a couple things surprise me about this incident. One being that the mighty Commissioner Goodell, and his dictator regime, has not come down hard on Porter for this fight. Goodell wants to clean up the image of the NFL, but all he does is take away three weeks of Porter's salary for this?? Not even a suspension? That kind of money is pretty much chump change for ballers like Porter. In the commissioner's defense, this was before he saw this film footage, so I wonder if Porter will get suspended soon. Second, why isn't Porter in jail for this? I read that Jones might press charges, and there might be a civil suit as well, but it has already been 8 months, am I missing something here?

Anyways, even if Porter gets suspended, I hope he comes back in time for the last game of the season, when the Bengals play the Dolphins on December 30th. I hope Levi smashes Porter and pancakes his ass on the field! Karma is a bitch Porter, so watch your back.
